Objective

To discuss about the different composite materials and their embedded nano
sensors.
Introduction

In the modern 21st century, there has been a significant growth in research
and development in various fields of science.
One such field is the field of nanotechnology, which has gained popularity
over the years.
Nanotechnology is the branch of science which deals with matter with the
size of a few nanometers.
Due to the small size of the matter, it is proved useful in fields of
communication, medicine, research etc.
Mechanical component of composite
materials
The basic attributes of metals reinforced with hard ceramic particles or fibres
are improved strength and stiffness, improved creep and fatigue resistance,
and increased hardness, wear and abrasion resistance, combined with the
possibility of higher operating temperatures than for the unreinforced metal
(or competing reinforced plastics).
These properties offer potential for exploitation in a range of pump and
engine applications, including compressor bodies, vanes and rotors, piston
sleeves and inserts, connecting rods, and so forth.

The designing of nanosensor networks and systems encompass multiple areas

of research, which include:
Design of nanosensors and modeling;
Design of wireless interfaces;
Design of reliable sensor networks that sense and collect data reliably;
Design of backbone networks capable of reliably transporting collected data
to remote servers;
Design of secure servers for data transfer.
Electronics component

Other projected products most commonly involve using Nano sensors to build
smaller integrated circuits, as well as incorporating them into various other
commodities made using other forms of nanotechnology for use in a variety of
situations including
Transportation
Communication
Improvements in structural integrity
Robotics.
