describes briefly:

action corresponding to the detected fault or system malfunction.

OMC-R operating control procedures: diagnosing certain OMC-R

states (both hardware and software).

OMC-R maintenance procedures: corresponding to maintenance

procedure sheets.

These tools have to be run under croot when application is running:

rebuildmirror.sh c<x> synchronizes both SSA disk array devices or

each A5000 block disk array device

repair_db.sh c<x>t<y>d<z>s<?> repair corrupted replicas

repair.sh <cxtydz> Allows to change a SSA disk without stopping OMC-R

repair_A5000.sh <cxtydz> Allows to change a A5000 disk without stopping OMC-R

stat_db.sh Displays the state of the replicas

 OMC-R Configuration Check

Open an Unix window using background menu

Log in as croot

Run the tool command ds_check.sh -Dcheck_grp

(Use ds_check.sh -h to list check_grp values)

 OMC-R Database Check

Stop OMC-R application - Using MMI interface

- Using /home/omc/bin/appstop

Open an Unix window using background menu

Log in as omc

Run the tool command ds_check_db.sh -NoFix or -Fix

Change the directory cd /var/local/oam

Read the result file in ds_check_db_log_hhmmss.yyyymmdd

 OMC-R Database Re-installation

If both servers detect a database problem,

the following operations have to be performed:
"Confidential information -- may not be copied or disclosed without permission".

Removing of the files indicating that a switchover has been performed

Creation of the virgin databases

Restoration of an OMC-R BDE on the active server

Configuration of the OMC-R application on both servers

Restart of the OMC-R application on passive and active servers
