 Objectives

This course covers the principles and describes the procedures related
to the BSS Databuild operations. It is based on the exhaustive use of the
OMC-R. The course includes both a theoretical part and a practical part.

Emphasis has been put on many hands-on exercises.

Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

Create and setup the BSS (BSC, BTS and TCU) network,
Modify the parameters,
Build and backup the database,
Perform the reconfiguration procedures,
Upgrade the BSS software version.

In a lecture room, the students are allowed to access an OMC-R connected to

a BSS on one side and to a NSS on the other side (so that some calls can be
established).
