Chemical/Inorganic fertilisers Organic fertilisers

Ammonium sulfate, ammonium Cottonseed meal, blood meal, fish

ammonium chloride and the like. sludge, etc.

nutrients,

Several chemical fertilizers have high Have slow release capability;

Disadvantages acid content distribution of nutrients in organic
(Can Burn the skin, Changes soil fertility) fertilizers is not equal.
What is monoculture
farming?
planting only one type of plant in a big way

the same species is grown year after year

can lead to the quicker buildup of pests and diseases,

and then rapid spread where a uniform crop is susceptible
to a pathogen.

The practice has been criticized for its environmental

effects and for putting the food supply chain at risk

Formal Environmental

skillful in solving the related problems.
Informal Environmental
Education
To raise the awareness and responsibility towards
the environment.
To increase their responsibilities not to pollute the
ecosystems but to create a cleaner and healthier
living environment.
What is WWF?

The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an international non-governmental

organization founded in 1961, working in the field of the wilderness preservation, and
the reduction of humanity's footprint on the environment. It was formerly named the
World Wildlife Fund, which remains its official name in Canada and the United States.

It is the world's largest conservation organization with over 5 million supporters

worldwide, working in more than 100 countries, supporting around 1,300[5]
conservation and environmental projects. WWF is a foundation,[6] with 55% of funding
from individuals and bequests, 19% from government sources (such as the World Bank,
DFID, USAID) and 8% from corporations in 2014.[3]

The group's mission is "to stop the degradation of the planets natural environment and
to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature."[7] Currently, much of its
work focuses on the conservation of three biomes that contain most of the world's
biodiversity: oceans and coasts, forests, and freshwater ecosystems. Among other
issues, it is also concerned with endangered species, sustainable production of
commodities and climate change.
What is SAM
An NGO in Malaysia which was to fight for the interests
of the environment from the threat of human and
national development.
Established in 1977
Has joined friends of the earth international (foei) in
1983, and published several books and news
magazines.
Role on the campaign include
Pollution, land use, a de-forestry, fisheries, energy, water,
dams, agriculture, rights of indigenous people and travel.
Its president is sm mohamed idris and based in
penang and sarawak .
