CHAOS IN DC-DC CONVERTERS

It is a non-linear phenomenon specifically

found in all non-linear systems
Period-1 Periodic
Chaos
operation doubling
(Unstable state)
(Stable state)

Reference current (Iref)

Load and Supply voltage
WHY WE NEED CHAOS CONTROL?
In a current mode controlled DC-DC
converter, The reference current is increased,
the system becomes unstable to chaos.
To Regulate the output voltage against the
changes in the supply voltage and load ,an
effective controller design is to be needed.
Converters operating under controlled chaos
have a better dynamic response.
Converters react more quickly
Reducing EMI in SMPS
CHAOS CONTROL METHODS
To obtain a control method that has the best
performances under any conditions is always in
demand.
The design of an efficient chaos controller provides
stable operation at the switching frequency and any
sub harmonic, chaotic operation
PID Controllers
SM Controllers
Hysteresis controller
Fuzzy Controllers
Time delay feedback controller
