Guard I/O Key Features

TV Functional safety rated SIL 3 and Category 4

Integrated pulse testing detects common wiring/device faults, including:
Short circuit to 24Vdc or 0Vdc
Wire break
Dual channel discrepancy
Pulse test outputs can be used as standard .5A outputs when not configured for
pulse test.
Removable and keyed terminal blocks
Electronic over current protection of all outputs
Common configuration and installation for DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP

Bipolar Outputs Short to High or Low

With Bipolar outputs, a short to

24VDC will not cause the load(s)
to energize since there is no
path for current to flow
The fault is detected and the bipolar
+ 24V output turns off or remains off,
C1 isolating the load(s)
This can be particularly useful when
controlling any single device such as
a guard-locking switch (Trojan,
0V C2 Atlas, TLS3-GD2)

+ 24VDC short
