Nutrition counseling is a type of assessment

made which analyzes various health needs in


regard to diet and exercise.
Nutrition counseling is an ongoing process in
which a health professional, usually a
registered dietitian, works with an individual
to assess his or her usual dietary intake and
identify areas where change is needed.
A nutrition counselor helps people to set
achievable health goals and teaches various
ways of maintaining these goals throughout
their lifetime.

problem arises, the person enters a period of
