Non Edible oil as renewable raw materials for new industrial products such
as lubricants have been a great importance now a day because of the
emphasis on environmental friendly lubricants is large in demand due to
the rapid depletion of world fossil fuel reverses and increasing concern for
environmental pollution from excessive mineral oil use.
Non Edible oils with high oleic contents are considered to be the best
alternative to substitute conventional mineral oil-based lubricating oils and
synthetic esters. Non edible oils are preferred over synthetic fluids because
they are more eco-friendly, renewable resources and cheaper too.
In this paper discuss about properties of various Non edible oils, chemically
modified esters and synthetic esters relevant for performance of lubrication
alternate for various industrial applications such as hydraulic oils,
refrigeration oils, chainsaw lubricants, metal working fluids, engine oils,
two-stroke oils has been proposed.
NON EDIBLE OIL
Non-edible vegetable oils are not suitable for human food due to the
presence of some toxic components in the oils
The selection of non-edible vegetable oils as feed stocks for oil production
requires reviewing the existing works.
The aim of this paper is to present the potential of non-edible vegetable oils
for engine oil production that can replace the current dependence on the
Engine oil.
