Initial impression management:


Clear class rules- entry time, mobile phones, stationary etc.
Expected class conduct and link with internals.
Showcase of expert subject knowledge.
Linking subject with career planning.
Zero tolerance for any indiscipline caused.
Regularly reinforcing such instructions.
Session planning: innovative and unique ( activities, audio/visual aids).
Small briefing of lecture in last 5 minutes by a student in class daily.
Special questions for smarter students and average questions for rest
of the class / Hand-holding.
Narrate good stories to students and further linking it to the subject.
Personal counseling for indiscipline behavior / involving mentor.
Giving recognition for small achievements.
