INTRODUCTION

Mlr convention centre is a part of 22 acre residential development in south


Bangalore.
The design is a world class venues for conventions, shows, celebrations and
weddings. Designed to international standard with state of art acoustics,
lighting, connectivity and ergonomic seating.

BRIEF OF THE PROJECT


The Mlr convention centre J.P.Nagar is an established convention
centre that has hosted weddings, conference and conventions with
aplomb. Designed as a self contained venue and based on an award

As per plot, architect designed longer side on north & south


directions
South side more vegetation to avoid heat
Lawn on East side will all ways cool.
On NW corner & Norths, they used glass for elevation.

Banquet Hall : Capacity 500 People (Floating Crowd)
Open Air Spaces : 700 People (Floating Crowd)

MY UNDERSTANDING ABOUT BUILDINGS
Merits
The design and architecture include well planned layouts in aesthetic pleasing settings with full exposed walls
and columns at exterior.
Way of arrangement to different also was attractive with different varieties of stairs.
Each spaces where created to connet with exterior views.
1. Near auditorium, conference and board room seating space is created with an open view to exterior
garden. steps are also provided to exterior.
2. Banqet hall which is provided in exterior also is also connected to exterior garden. It is situated in
ground floor so that visitors can spend time in lawn.
2 entry space provided to lobby space. The space is made attractive with stairs and pond which is provided next
to it.
Pre function area is left open with small interior garden with sculpture which creates an interesting
appearance. Dining space is provided in pre function area.
Accomodation is provided in second floor. In the passage they provides natural lighting to enter to the space, so
that the space does not require the usage of lights in morning time.
Demerits
Proper facilities are not provided are not provided for artist.
1. Way to Suit rooms are not provided with proper cealing heights.
2. Passage leading to the backstage is also not provided with proper width.
3. Proper passage to Practice halls provided on top of stage was also not provided. steps where too small.

1.Car has to take two circular drives to get into cellar.
2. Same entry for visitors and services.
3. All round drive way is not provided.
MERITS:
1.Overall the arrangement of spaces has been designed in different levels

3.For spaceutilizing chiller and other services provided on roof

DE-MERITS:
1.Parking space is sufficient but arrange ment of cars not well.
2.Only one fire fighting stair case provided .
3.Only one Internal stair case provided width is 1.0 m only.
4.Provided two 8 passenger lifts only.
5.Cafeteria is open. No protection with rain, wind and sun.
6.Kitchen is to small.
7.Entry exit of cellar floor of car parking is very narrow 3 mts only. 8.Lobby or entry foyer is no protection of rain.
