ELA
In ELA, this week we were talking about identifying verbs in a
sentence. In addition, we have continued practicing writing solid
sentences using our Whole Brain writing symbols and cues to
remember important steps. We will begin using these strategies to
write paragraphs next week. Students will begin practicing typing up
these paragraphs into google classroom once their prewriting
activities are complete. Next week, we will be working on reviewing
adjectives and will continue working on different types of Folk tales
We will be practicing grade level appropriate vocabulary on Quizlet to
prepare for our Quizlet live game on Friday!

end estimation, in this case, they round to the
highest place value a number has. For instance,
173 + 25 would be solved by rounding 173 to the
hundreds place (200) and you would round 25 to
the tens place (30). Then, you would add 200 + 30
to get the answer. This is done when there arent
any specified place values to round to.
