How to Update Parameter using Plan Editor

1. The parameter that needs to be updated should be classified.

2. Check the parameters object class respective of its technology whether its 2G, 3G or LTE.

3. Extract the particular object class from network dump. For instance WCEL,WBTS,WLCSE for 3G Technology.

4. Open the object classs excel and search of that parameter that needs to be updated.

5. Put the final value that needs to be updated against that particular parameter.

6. Save the object class excel sheet in .CSV format.

7. Open the plan editor and import the same network dump which was used for preparing CSV file.
WCEL is the object class and CellAdditionalInfo is the parameter that needs to be updated.

Object class needs to be saved in .csv format
Open the Plan Editor
Click on Open Database
Import the network dump used for preparing the object class csv file.
Click on the Export tab. A new dialogue box will appear named as Plans.
Click on New Plan tab. A new dialogue box will appear named as Create New Plan.
Give any plan name that you wish to give in the Plan name box.
Select the Default OSS under the Export Profile dialogue box.
Click on Create tab.
Click on Import Tab. A dialogue box will appear named as Import
Select Default CSV Profile in profile box.
Load the Csv file in the Input File box.
Click on the dotted tab sideways of Profile box. A new dialogue box will Import Profiles
Click on the Name tab. A dialogue box will appear New Import Profile
Give a name whatever you desire. Click ok.
Import the csv file in the Import File Name under the Profile Properties
Click on the dotted tab sideways of CSV Mapping. A dialogue box will appear CSV Table Mapping
Click on the Name tab. A dialogue box will appear Add New CSV Mapping
Give a name under the Name box.
Tick the Read parameters names from the CSV file
Import the csv file in the File Name box.
Select the particular object class under the Default Object Class
Click OK.
Click on the Apply Mapping tab under the CSV Table Mapping
Click on the Import tab under the Import Profile dialogue box.
Again click on the Import tab under the Import dialogue box.
After the file will be imported, click on the View Buffer tab.
An Import Preview dialogue box will appear.
Modification can be seen under the Operation column and particular parameter name is being mentioned under the Parameter column.
Tick the Clear after import
Click on the Accept Import tab.
After the File is imported completely. Go to the Plans dialogue box.
Click on the Move to Export Buffer tab.
Click on the View Export Buffer tab.
A dialogue box will appear as Export Preview
Click on the dotted tab to give the XML path and file name under the Output File box.
Tick the Clear after export.
Click on the Export tab.
Close all the dialogue box and your Updated XML file will be created.
