A machine or device that operates
automatically or by remote control. The world
robotic population reaches about 8.6
million. More than a million industrial robots
are now in use, nearly half of them in Japan.
The first robot was invented by Karel
Capek in 1921. This marked the invention
of the term robot, however not an
acctual prototype. In the past, the human
labor and the aid of domesticated
animals, both gave the efforts to build the
earliest societies.

o Power source
o Actuation
o Sensing
o Manipulation
o Locomotion
Mostly Robots have movable bodies. Some
only have motorized wheels, and others have
dozens of movable segments, typically made
of metal or plastic. Like the bones in your
body, the individual segments are connected
together with joints.
What a Robot can mean?

An automatic industrial
machine replacing the
human in hazardous
work.
An automatic mobile
sweeper machine at a
modern home.
An automatic car toy for
a child to play
Speed.
It can work
hazardous/dangerous
environment.
To perform repetitive
task.

Accuracy
Adaptability
Levy, a British researcher
belevie that by 2050,
robots and human will be
able to marry legally in the
united states . As robots
become increasingly
humanoid in appearance.
Physical attractiveness
and advances in
programming that will
allow human-like emotions
and intellect in robots.

by NASA, is made up of
metal segments moved by
tiny motors. The hand is one
of the most difficult
structures to replicate in
robotics

They can entertain us.
Robots do not get sick, they can
work 24/7 without complaining
and salary and food.
For spying.
Play the role of an efficient
assistance in Research and
Development sciences.
Can very well handle
household business.

A robotic surgery machine.
1) People can lose
jobs in factories
2) It needs a supply of
power
3) It needs
maintenance to keep it
running
4) It costs money to
make or buy a robot
5)Robot can harm us.
Scientists say
that it is
possible that
a robot brain
will exist by
2019 .
Vernor Vinge has
suggested that a moment
may come when
computers and robots are
smarter than humans.
