Learning Objectives
-Day 4 of 5, review the U.S. States and their Capitals in coalition to
state standards of geography Goal 2.1.
-With the movement and fun of baseball, review Capitals with
objective of memorizing them for a follow up test on day 5.

-Goal 2.1: Analyze the spatial organizations of people, places and
environment on the Earths surface.
-5.SS.2.1.4 - Name and locate the 50 States and their Capitals and
U.S. territories.

Summary:
Through our previous slides, we have reviewed some of the
50 states and there capitals by breaking them down into
regions. These lists were not the full 50 states because we
have gone through all the states and their capitals through
out the week. This is our end lesson with a really fun CFU
to prepare for our test.
Capital and States Baseball
rules/CFU
1. I will separate you into 2 team
2. Each team will line up at the front of the room
3. I will toss each batter the ball you will state what run you want and toss it back, I will
give you a state with a corresponding color/ run attached to it.
4. Green= single, Blue= double, Yellow= triple, Brownish/Red= homerun. You move the
amount of spaces if you get the capital correct. If you dont, you go to the back of the
line, each team has 3 chances to get it correct. But remember 3 strikes and your out
and the next team comes up to bat.
