The main objective of HEMS is

to decrease mortality and
morbidity and to prevent
disability not only of patients
but also of the personnel and
individuals within the hospital
or grounds.

To take part in creating the hospital preparedness, response and

recovery plans.

To take the lead in the assessment of different hazards and risks in

the hospital.

To initiate immediate response during health emergencies and

disasters.

To apply the different strategies used in Health Emergency

Management.

To conduct capacity building activities like BLS, ACLS and EMT

Trainings.

To test the applicability and efficiency of the plans created through

simulation drills.
