CEFR-Malaysia development and adoption:

1. Familiarise school teachers with the CEFR and its descriptors by


the training of Trainers to create a cadre of Malaysian
Master CEFR Trainers at each educational stage
MTs cascading the training to their peers

2. Adapt the CEFR for the Malaysian context by

Reflecting on your experience

(A) Give an account of what you have learned and experienced. Describe
your thoughts and feelings, and any valuable insights and difficulties
which you have encountered. Explain how what you have learned will
enable you to help inform your teachers.
(B) Did the trainer explain the goals of the workshop, and the goals for each
activity? Explain.
(C) Did the trainer communicate the necessary basic and applied knowledge
about the CEFR (e.g. the purpose and structure of the CEFR, the theories
of language learning that underpin the CEFR, and uses of the CEFR in the
classroom, in assessment, etc.)?
(D) Describe the learning environment, and comment on whether it
facilitates or hinders learning. Explain.
(E) Do you feel comfortable about using the skills and knowledge acquired
from the course? Explain.
