What is TBI?
Traumatic brain injury is a mental problem that happened
when an external mechanical force causes brain
dysfunction

There are certain things that occur due to brain injury


such as: cognitive changes, physical changes,
personality and behavioral changes.

Children with TBI they have identified disability, health, or mental health conditions
requiring early intervention, special education services, or other specialized services and
supports

People who have had mental or physical disorders since


birth and sometimes find it difficult to cope with the
outside world.

History Timeline(TBI):

Dr. Kurf Goldstein, the director of the Institute for research into the effect
Brain lesions, he published an English version of his work on TBI sustained
in war in 1942.

In 1990 Education for All Handicapped Children Act (EAHCA) was


renamed Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and amended
to include new classification categories for student including those with a
TBI.

- Schools in the cannot refuse the special needs students.
- Providing the appropriate environment for people with special

- Extra fees to parents who want any special education services.

The classroom environment that the student will be in it should be comfortable for their
illness.

students physical and mental endurances may be limited during their initial return to
school and steadily improve over time.

Student should be allowed to take their time in thinking more. that the other normal

1- The routine for the student with TBI is really helpful to remember things.

2- Rest time for the student between the classes and activity to help them to
rest their brain between time to time.

The late actor, director and writer Rik Mayall suffered a brain injury in
1998 when the quad bike he was riding crashed.

Conclusion

As teachers, we should take care about the students with all

special need and even it is hard to deal with the student with

their illness, we should read and study about this needs to know

how to control the classes if we have one in our classroom.
