December 16, 2011 Tropical Storm Sendong /Washi
ravages Region 10, particularly in Cagayan de Oro and
Iligan City, causing loss of lives and property.
February 2012 a group of Sendong survivors who used to
reside near the vicinity of the Carmen river organized an
association, thus leading to the rise of Blessed Ville
Homeowners Association, Inc which was organized through
the efforts of the Most Reverend Archdiocese of Cagayan
de Oro City through its Social Action Center led by Father
Nathaniel Lerio.
Memorandum of understanding dated June 12, 2012, the
said community association was turned over by the Social
Action Center to TOUCH Foundation Inc. as its CMP-
Mobilizer to assist them in their application to avail a loan
for the lot acquisition and house construction loan through
the Community Mortgage Program (CMP) of the Social
Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC). In their quest to
acquire a lot safer from where they came, the Peace and
Equity Foundation (PEF) put up a guarantee fund to SHFC
so that compliance of the documentary requirements set
for submission by SHFC can have some leeway and
consideration to hasten payment of identified and
acquired lot to its landowner in their pilot program on CMP
offsite express lane processing of documentary
requirements.
In November 12, 2012, Blessed Ville Homeowners
Association, Inc. had acquired their Certificate of
Registration from HLURB. Blessedville acquired a parcel of
land to be used for the establishment of a subdivision,
during which they approached an expert to conduct a
topographic survey and subdivision scheme.
