The oceans of the earth

There are five oceans- The pacific, the Atlantic, The Indian, The Southern
and The Artic Oceans. Thy cover an amazing 71 % of the earths surface
and make up 97% of its wter supplu, so theyre very important for survival.

Wehave only explored 10% of the oceans. So far, scientists have recorded
more tan 230.000 species of living creaturs and plants and thats just under
water. Above the waves, there are also thousnds of species of seabtros and
seamammals taht live around and feed from the oceans.

Unfortunately, pollution from factories is polsoning fish our oceans. Trash
such as plastic bags and soda cans also kills 100,000 sea creatures every year
and because of over fishing, there are fewer fish every day.
 Protecting the oceans
To help sabe our precius oceans, dont buy seafood that is endangered like
bluefiny tuna. Also reclycle your plastic bottles and cahsso they dont end
up in the sea. Over 8 million years ago, life on earth began in the oceans. Lets
protect them together!
