Rationale
Learning and technology is essential in todays world. Advances in technology greatly influence the way we

create, share, use, and develop in society. The usage of technology questions about how is it used, how we test

the technology if it is beneficial, and assessments. The SETT framework provides us with identifying what

assistive technology could we use and why. In addition, the UDL framework illustrates the varying amount of

choice of what technology that is useful for the student`s needs and helps aid in student success for their own

personalized learning. Using various technologies (such as speech to text, text to speech, visual dictionaries,

computers, highlighting words, google apps etc) help students utilize those technologies and empowers them

about the importance of choosing what is the most beneficial. The students are allowed to test and formulate

opinions of why certain technologies work for them. It opens up doors to knowledge and self-knowledge.
