SANITATION LAND USAGE TREATMENT ARRANGEMENT WASTE PUBLIC FACILITY FLOW & ACCESS
waste SEDIMENTATION

Garbage from domestic waste

formed huge spreaded stacks that
built along the entrance flows of the
floodgates of the village, next to the
park. The garbage built sediments
that were decreasing water flow
space of the river.
This was caused by the poor education of
the people living around the riverbanks
that were still disposing waste irresponsibly.
waste WASTE MANAGEMENT

Many places spotted in the riverbanks

that have garbage stacks from
domestic waste.
The existing garbage in garbage cans
were not being relocated to the central
waste disposal.
People living around the riverbanks
were still burning the garbage.
This was caused by the poor waste
management no official personnel managing
the waste and the disposal, as the nearest
central disposal was kilometers away from the
riverbank area.
waste GARBAGE CANS

Garbage cans are only found in very

small numbers in the area. In
comparison between, the garbage
can placed inside the park is only
one in the large field of park.
The existing garbage cans had also
not been organized.
This was caused by the poor waste
management and garbage organization of
the administrative area and in the park.
waste BAD VIEW

Garbage-filled river flow decreased

the view of and from the park.
This was caused by the behavior of the
people living around the riverbanks that
are still throwing garbage on the river.
This was also caused by the poor waste
management, where no garbage
sedimentation cleaned up from the river.
land usage BUILD PERMISSION

Illegal housings are still found on

the riverbanks area, where people
disobey the law regarding buildings
in state-owned lands. In fact, the
land along the riverbanks are state-
owned and not legal for any kind of
profit and housing settlement. In the
other hand, the government had
put warning signs to socialize the
applied law.
Many people in riverbank area still build
houses in the state-owned land areas.
EDUCATION
sanitation REGARDING
SANITATION

Some uneducated people who

lived in riverbank were still using the
river flow to excrete bladder and
feces.
This was caused by the poor level of
education regarding sanitation of the
people, that also affected their health and
environmental awareness.
PUBLIC RESTROOM
sanitation AND TOILET
AVAILABILITY

Public restroom and toilet

availability around the area is below
the needs of sanitation itself.
There was also not found any public
restroom inside the area.
The level of awareness towards sanitation
of the people lived on the riverbanks is
very poor. Developments of new toilets
were being built, although were still under
the capacity needed.
flow & access REMOTENESS

The excitement inside the park

clearly hadnt successfully attract
more visitors daily. This was more
caused by the remote access of the
park and roadways toward it.
The Pucangsawit village, itself, is remote
from Surakarta, placed in the edgemost
district of the city, and nearest to the
neighbouring developed town.
ROADS
flow & access CONSTRUCTIONS

The roads used by visitor inside and

towards the park are very untreated.
There was also not found any streetlamps
and garden lights.
There was also not found any boundary
across the meeting points between high
altitude-banks and roads
This condition found in almost every user
accesses such as roads, junctions, ways,
pathwalks, sidewalks, pavements, and
country roads.
LESS SAFETY AND
arrangement SECURITY

Facilities inside the park could not

assure the safety and security of the
visitors.
No boundaries on the levees of the
riverbanks. Not safe for the coming of
flood and running children.
There was also found construction project
nearby, that blocks some ways toward the
park.
treatment UNTREATED FACILITIES

There were many facilities found

inside the park that were highly
untreated and heavily damaged.
UNTREATED
treatment VEGETATION

There were found many damages

in the vegetation of the park. There
were also untreated garden plants,
dangerous plants, and uncleaned
park lands.
