Early life
 At the age of 28 he left his home
town and went to Milan
 In Milan Augustine became a
teacher of rhetoric
 He resigned from his teaching job
Mid life only two years later
 After Milan Augustine returned
home and started A life of constant
partying
 Even his mother could not get him
to turn his life around

 One day he felt an urge to read the book
of St. Paul
 He does this and is filled with immense
guilt for his actions
 This is the beginning of Augustine’s
conversion

Augustine’s
Conversion
 St. Augustine was then baptized by St.
Ambrose
 He then started living righteously and
wrote over hundreds of books for the
Catholic Church
 He also became the bishop of Hippo
Augustine’s
Holy Life
 St. Augustine died on 430 while
being imprisoned by invaders or
