HONG HENG TRANSPORT & TRADING SDN. BHD.
(HHT) IS PROVIDING LORRY TRANSPORTATION
SERVICES TO CUSTOMER TO CARRY RAW
MATERIAL - LIME STONE, COAL, GYPSUM, SALT,
SAND ETC.
 HAS TOTAL OF 150 WORKERS (DRIVERS,
WORKSHOP & OFFICE)
 RUNNING ABOUT 100 DIFFERENT TYPES OF
LORRY. ( TIPPER/T.TRAILER & CARGO)
 HAS STRONG COMMITEMENT TO
WORKPLACE SAFETY AND INTEGRATES S &
H AS PART OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS.

* OBJECTIVE OF THE REPORT
TO IDENTIFY THE HAZARD AT CUSTOMER SITE
(IMERY’S) DURING UNLOADING LIME STONE BY
26 WHEELS (T.TRAILER) AT IMERY’S MINERALS.
 To rate the risks, prioritize the hazards and identify
a critical safety and health hazard.
 To recommend control measures for the critical
safety and health hazard.
 To review the effectiveness of the recommended
control measures.
 To suggest the benefits of this WPA to HHT.

1. SAFETY Administration:

 Training on SOP of unloading procedure for new drivers and during defensive
driver’s training for every 3 months once to refresh.
 To restrict in taking of new drivers with valid GDL license only.

2. HEALTH Engineering:

googles for eyes and face mask for respiratory system protection.
* REVIEW PROGRAMME

Control measures be reviewed periodically including


the activities arising from:
Inspection
Routine maintenance
Safety and Health Committee Meeting
Safety and Health Training
Driver feedback (verbally, videos & photos)
Analysis of accident report
Other activities such as Tool Box Briefing.
* Benefits to the company
 As drivers work in safe and healthy environment,
more productive and quality services can be
expected.
 Reduce personal injury and property damage.
 Company more efficient through less losses in
accident and LTI, thus lower repairing cost and
improved efficiency.
 The hidden cost can be reduce.( other than
insurance)
 Ability to secure and retain long-term contracts with
major clients and customers who recognize the
importance of proactive safety management.
