Mary asked Dave if / whether he had heard about the ‘Iceman’.

Mary agreed and added that the Iceman had been found in 1991 but had died

Dave wanted to know why Mary was asking him about the Iceman then.

5. ‘There’s an Iceman exhibition at 7.30 tonight. Would you like to come with
Tom and me?’
Mary explained that there was an Iceman exhibition at 7.30 that night. She
asked Dave if he would like to go with Tom and her.

6. ‘Thanks, Mary, but I’m sorry I won’t be able to come.’


Dave thanked her but said that he was sorry but he wouldn’t be able to go.
