Curricular Statement

To Know the undeniable role played by nature, where nature has


always been a motivator, guide, teacher and mentor for man. Nature has
been a source of everything and influenced man in every walk of his life.
Learning Outcome
The learner will be able to
 Construct slogans, sentences etc using his/her imagination.
 Identify the factors affecting adversely our nature .
 Use cognitive and observation skill with the help of given activities.
 Solve different types of puzzles.

PRE-REQUISITE
The pupil
 May be familiar with the elements that are harmful to nature.
 May know the measures to prevent the depletion of our nature.
 Might love to complete interesting and colourful activities.
 May like to solve puzzles.
 May have creative skills and aesthetic sense

MY AIM

My aim is to make this class interesting , interactive


at the same time informative.
OBJECTIVES

Through this class and activity, I had some objectives that I


wanted to achieve and they are:
 To make the students aware of the problems and effects
on nature.
 To develop a sense of social being and to create social
interaction among students.
 To provide some of the measures , which they can work
out to preserve and protect our environment.
 To make them aware of their duties towards the mother
earth.
TEACHING-LEARNING PROCESS

INTRODUCTION
Nature is essential to our lives- from the food on our
plates to the clothes we wear, from medicines to mental
health benefits. Our ancestors worshipped nature, the old
civilizations are known to have considered tress, birds,
earth, animals as God. Man evolved in the embrace of
nature. After thousands of years of living on this planet, man
has started to destroy it.
Based on the lesson “A DAY IN THE COUNTRY”,
“SONG OF THE FLOWER”, “FIRST SHOWERS”, whose main
theme is nature. I decided to make an ACTIVITY BOX, which
consist of some of the activities related to nature, where
the students will have enjoyment of completing the
activities as well as get an awareness of the present
condition of their environment.
ENTRY ACTIVITY
 Teacher begins the class with a brief introduction about nature.
 Teacher shares some points of how nature is important for us.
 Teacher shows a video which highlights the present condition of
nature and how humans play a major role in destroying nature.
 Teacher also shares some pictures for better understanding.
 Then discusses some of the effects of human intervention on the
environment and they are:

 Land degradation  Air/water pollution


 Climate change  Over population.
PRESENTATION
 Teacher wishes to start the class with a brief introduction
about nature, later videos and pictures related to it are
shown.
 Teacher divides the class into 4 groups and gives some
instructions before giving the activity leaflets.
 Teacher distributes the Activity leaflets among the children.
These leaflets consist of different language activities on the
theme of ‘nature’. Some of them are:

 Crossword puzzle.  Join the dots.


 Quote finder.  Bad effects on nature
 Find the way out  Measures to protect nature.
 Word cookies.  Slogan writing.
DISCOURSE CONSTRUCTION
Teacher further gives some discourse activities like;
 Q. Draw a life-cycle of trees in both old age and present age
using your imagination, compare the two pictures ,as how the
trees at present times is cut down for various activities.
 Q. Prepare some posters in connection to preserving and
protecting our nature in a way creating awareness among
others.
SUMMARIZING

Teacher once again summarizes the entire class and asks the
students to share their idea about how to protect our Earth.
ASSIGNMENT

 Q. List out the names of animals those are extinct due to


deforestation or human activity.
 Q. How do you think you can protect the nature, list out
some measures.
