In writing this section,
• Introduce and briefly define the variables under
study
• cite the most important study or related
literature
• be consistent with terms used
• ensure that paragraphs summarize unresolved
issues, conflicting findings, social concerns, or
educational, national, or international issues.
• write the last paragraph to highlight the

In the Philippines, Republic Act 10627 known as the Anti- bullying
Act of 2013 was signed by President Benigno Aquino III on September 6,
2013. The law requires all public and private Elementary and Secondary
Schools in the country to adopt an Anti- Bullying Policy including
Alternative Learning Center. According to the study conducted on 2008 by
Britain- Based Plan International, 50 percent of school children in the
Philippines experienced bullying either by their teachers on their peers.
In this law defined as unwanted, aggressive behavior among school
aged children that involve a real or perceived power imblance. Bullying
includes actions such as rumors, attacking someone physically or verbally
and excluding someone from a group on purpose.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
This study is will be conducted to determine the level of awareness of students
in Occidental Mindoro State College on Republic Act no. 10627 otherwise
known as Anti- Bullying act of 2013
Specifically, it seeks to answers the following questions;
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of;
a. age;
b. sex and;
c. academic year level?
2. What is the level of awareness of students in Occidental
Mindoro State College on R.A 10627 in terms of:
1. Forms of bullying
a. cyber bullying;
b. social bullying; and
c. gender- based bullying

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
3. Is there asignificance relationship between the respondent’s profile and the
level of awareness of students in Occidental Mindoro State College on R.A.

Should be directly linked to the study variables as
indicated in the title

They should be SMART- Specific/Specific,

Measurable, Attainable/Achievable, Realistic, Time
bound

 Should be outcome based verbs such “Identify,

define, relate, describe, review, justify, indicate etc.” and
unless for clearly stated purpose try based on specific
types of qualitative studies, it is important to avoid
process-based outcomes such as “understand”,
“explore”, “investigate”, “examine”

 Exploratory studies may use process based verbs

because they are mainly qualitative in nature.

Thesis Title: Level of Awareness of Students in Occidental

Mindoro State College on R.A.10627 otherwise
known as Anti- Bullying Act of 2013

Objectives of the Study:

This study will be conducted to determine the level of awareness of Students in
Occidental Mindoro State College on R.A. 10627 in Sablayan Occidental Mindoro
Specifically, this study aimed the following:
1. To identify the profile of the respondents in terms of:
a. age
b. sex
c. academic/ year level

22

2. To determine the level of awareness of students in Occidental Mindoro State
College on R.A. 10627 in terms of:
1. Forms of bullying
a. cyber- bullying;

SIGNIFICANCE
OF THE STUDY
States the audience who will benefit from
a study of the problem and explains how
exactly will the results be significant to
them.
In writing this section,
In paragraph form, cite beneficiaries (e.g.,
students, professors or teachers,
university administrators, parents) of
results of study.
For each beneficiary group, specifically
describe how it will benefit from the
findings. 24

SIGNIFICANCE
OF THE STUDY

but if you have many beneficiaries write the

following:
1st paragraph (Why is it important to
conduct this study)
2nd paragraph – main beneficiary
(organization)
3rd paragraph – secondary beneficiary
4th paragraph – importance to the
proponents/researchers
5th paragraph – importance to the future
researchers
25

Significance of the Study:

The researcher wants to provide the readers knowledge and understanding

about the assessment of the level of awareness among students in Occidental
Mindoro State College on R.A 10627 in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro
Specifically. This study is significant to;
The Students. For them to know what is R.A10627 which consists of the
dynamics of bullying, Anti- bullying Policies of the school as well as the mechanism
for the anonymous reporting of acts of bullying or retaliation
The Schools. For them to know that they shall adopt bullying prevention
programs and apply to all students regardless of level of risks or vulnerability of
bullying.
The Parents. For them to become aware of the Anti- bullying Policies of
school and how can parents and guardians
Future Researchers/ the Researchers themeselves. The findings of this
study will serve as a good source of accurate and useful information for them.

This is the researcher’s own perception of

the problem and how variables operate in
influencing each other. The researcher is
expected to provide a graphic presentation
that is self-explanatory showing how
various variables interact and the direction
of the outcomes from such interactions

27
6
It ought to be characterized by:

(i) original visualization by the researcher or

adaptation of an existing model used in a
previous study

(ii) direction of interactions of variables of

study

(iii)a diagrammatic format (graphic

presentation)

(iv) Brief explanation of the conceptual

framework for clarification of the flow 28
Conceptual Framework

On the basis of discusssion conceptual framework is shown on the research
paradigm.
The paradigm illustrates the variables of study that shows the possible relationship
between the dependent variable which is the level of awareness of among students
in Occidental Mindoro State College on R.A 10627, and the independent variable
which is the respondents profile.
