WHO WE ARE
• YCAB stands for Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (Loving the
Nation’s Children Foundation)
• Founded by Veronica Colondam in 1999.
• Our vision is to love and enable youth through hope and
opportunity. The final aim is self-reliant youth.
• Started with a Healthy Lifestyle Promotion program, then
followed with education and economic empowerment
programs for 10-24 years old youth.
• Has evolved to become a social enterprise (establishing
business units in microfinance, game centers, beauty
clinics, and a training firm to cover some of YCAB’s costs.

THE RESULTS OF OUR MICROFINANCE CLIENTS

Indicators 2016 Results

• Percentage of clients with 30% or more • 65% of clients increased their revenue by 30% or
revenue increase more after 1-2 years of intervention by YCAB; 60%
after 3-7 years of intervention.
Business size
• Percentage of clients with 30% or more profit • 82% of clients increase their profit by 30% or more
increase after 1-2 years of intervention by YCAB; 83% of clients
after 3-7 years of intervention.

• Food Security: hunger level • 99% of clients eat enough food for the past one year
Living • Ability for home improvement • 0,5% of clients are able to renovate their houses
standard • Ability to have savings • 53% of clients can have savings, who previously could
not have any savings.

• Self Efficacy level of clients • 72% of clients reported a higher level of confidence in
planning the future, 73% in solving problems, and
74% in making decisions.
Access to • Participation in capability building programs • 3% of clients participated in financial inclusion
"money minded" training and parenting skills. Those
education participating in financial training increased their
revenue significantly.
• Few dropouts among clients’ children • 1.0% dropout rate, compared to 11.8% dropout rate
among low income in Indonesia.
