Profile of ICICI Bank

 ICICI Bank Ltd is India's second-largest bank with total assets of Rs. 1
trillion, a network of 500+ branches and offices and over 2000 ATMs.
ICICI Bank offers a wide range of banking products and financial
services to corporate and retail customers, through a variety of delivery
channels and through its specialized subsidiaries and affiliates in the
areas of investment banking, life and non-life insurance, venture capital,
asset management and information technology.

 ICICI Bank Ltd was originally promoted in 1994 by ICICI Ltd, an


Indian financial institution, and was its wholly-owned subsidiary. ICICI
Bank Ltd.'s equity shares are listed in India on stock exchanges at
Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Vadodara, Mumbai and the National Stock
Exchange of India Limited. In 1999, ICICI Bank Ltd became the first
Indian company and the first bank or financial institution from non-
Japan Asia to be listed on the NYSE.

and data resources that collects, transforms, and
disseminates information in and organization.

 Management information system is one such system


that helps a company managers to take difficult
decisions, and evaluate amongst various strategies.

A Transaction Process System is a set of information


which process the data transaction in database
system that monitors transaction programs.

Example: If an electronic payment is made, the amount


must be either both withdrawn from one account and
added to the other, or none at all.

Database
 All banks and in this case ICICI maintain a huge database of
all their customers along with all the relevant details about
their accounts, customer details etc. Such database has to be
maintained so as to avoid any mishandling of any account.

 At ICICI, different transaction files are made with every


transaction that takes place and all these files get queued up
one after another and are executed one after the other.
