Meneroka, Menemui & Membuat
Refleksi…

• Jarak antara garisan lipatan.

• Sudut antara garisan lipatan supaya:

– Kad tidak terkoyak apabila dibuka 180o

– Tidak ada bahagian yang terkeluar daripada

kad apabila kad itu ditutup

• Uji idea anda dengan membina beberapa

model.
Garisan Anda hanya potong pada

For the card to shut a

properly: a – b = d – c
For the card to open to c d
180o: a + b ≥ c + d
The piece will not
“stick out” when the
card is shut if the base
is longer than
2(a + c), or For the card to open
2(b + d) to 180o: a + b ≥ c + d

Q
For the card to open & close correctly,

• The 3 fold lines AB, CD & EF when produced

must be concurrent at a point, say P
• The 2 gluing lines, GH & IJ when produced must
be concurrent with the centre fold KL on the base
of the card, say Q
• HQ = BP and JQ = FP
• The angles between the fold lines must satisfy
the following conditions
– a–b=d–c
– a+b≥c+d
• When the card is open at any angle, the 4 fold
lines AB, CD, EF, KL must always be concurrent
at Q.
• Showcase the samples you
have collected.
