- To let the users be able to explore unexplored videos that might suit their interests, also helping
new content creators get more viewers.

Youtube consistently recommends videos, and I can even state that I am not interested in a certain video.

installs.

- The more loyal the user is, the more likely he/she is going to spend online purchases for apps.

- Your profile is going to be used for generating recommendations with multiple types of products

that they hold, i.e. Apps you install will influence your Movie Recommendations.

Even though some recommendations may


become repetitive, and applications may
have the same purpose/functionalities,
Google Play Store still suggests applications
based on genres, which can be very helpful

Recommendation Goals

- By recording previous posts or posts that the user liked, the system delivers more relevant posts to

the user’s timeline, bringing more attention from the user.

- Quora’s recommendations give you information based on your tastes, so you wouldn’t have to

learn unnecessary information but instead more about things that you are interested in!

- Recommendation helps people find each other with the same field of knowledge, giving more

chances of a post being populated by users of the same genre.

- They get profit from certain non-annoying ads

- Quora directly asks you


about your interests. Then
they will mold your news
feed into something you
are interested in.

Quora has a list of your interests, but they make a hybrid of posts that suits your tastes and places it in

Overall: Very Helpful

All in all, quora’s recommendation system’s sole


purpose is to provide the user a good timeline feed, or
even a better community where you can find your
clique with same interests. This website is very noble
and deserves better appreciation.
