 The Gomoh electric loco shed RailwayEngineering
Company limited, Gomoh Unit is engaged in
maintenance of railways loco for Indian railways. It
was always manufacture and supplied sugar
Machineries,Agricultural implements and other
mechanical and structural jobs. This industry is
manufacture wagon only now days. In this industry
there are ten shops among which eight shops are now
used for the manufacturing purpose of wagon for
Indian Railways. Presently about 600 employees are
contributed their services to this unit of WBEL. Total
area of factory:-18620 feet square. Now a day’s only
wagon BOXN HIL WCCCS is manufacturing.
3-PHASE TRACTION MOTOR
3-Phase Tracation Motors type 6FRA6068 for
WAG-9 and WAP-7 locomotives & 6FXA7059 for
WAP-5 locomotive are being manufactured
indigenously by CLW since the financial year
1998-99 & 1999-2000
respectively.
With the production
of 3-phase
Traction Motor,CLW
has entered the era
of state of the art,3-p
hase technology.
POWER TRANSMISSION
Electrical circuits require two connections (or for
three phase AC, three connections). From the
beginning, the track was used for one side of the
circuit. Unlike model railroads the track normally
supplies only one side,
the other side(s)
of the circuit being
provided separately
A bogie (/ˈboʊɡi/ BOH-ghee) is a wheeled wagon or trolley. In
mechanics terms, a bogie is a chassis or framework carrying
wheels, attached to a vehicle. It can be fixed in place, as on a
cargo truck, mounted on a swivel, as on a railway carriage or
locomotive, or sprung as in the suspension of a caterpillar
tracked vehicle. Usually, two bogies are fitted to each
carriage, wagon or
locomotive, one at each end.
An alternate configuration
often is used in articulated
vehicles, which places the
bogies (often jacobs bogies)
under the connection
between the carriages
or wagons.
Also called an axle box. The housing attaching the
end of the axle to the truck which as early as 1908
contained a set of long cylindrical rollers allowing
the axle to rotate.[1][2] It was also used on steam
locomotives such as the
Victorian Railways A2 class,
the LMS Garratt, the
LSWR 415 class, and the
GCR Class 1.[1][dubious – discuss]
A buffer stop in Italy
Dead-end sidings are often fitted with buffer stops to
prevent vehicles running off the end of the track. These
may consist of a simple transverse beam fixed at buffer
height but the buffer stops at passenger stations can be
elaborate hydraulic installations capable of absorbing a
considerable amount of energy.
A train wheel or rail wheel is a type of wheel specially designed for use on
rail tracks. A rolling component is typically pressed onto an axle and
mounted directly on a rail car or locomotive or indirectly on a bogie, also
called a truck. Wheels are cast or forged (wrought) and are heat-treated to
have a specific hardness. New wheels are trued, using a lathe, to a specific
profile before being pressed onto an axle. All wheel profiles need to be
periodically monitored to insure proper wheel-rail interface. Improperly
trued wheels increase rolling resistance, reduce energy efficiency and may
create unsafe operation. A railroad wheel typically consists of two main
parts: the wheel itself, and the tire (or tyre) around the outside.
A rail tire is usually made from steel,
and is typically heated and pressed onto the wheel,
where it remains firmly as it shrinks and cools
. Monobloc wheels do not have encircling tires,
while resilient rail wheels
have a resilient material, such as rubber,
between the wheel and tire.
INDUSTRIAL PUMPS
We are a specialized manufacturer of Glandless
Transformer Oil Pumps that find wide applications in a
range of industries. Our quality compliance ensures that
only premium quality raw material is utilized in the
manufacturing of these products. The Glandless
Transformer Oil Pumps are assembled as a complete unit
and comprise a pump and driving motor, which is
mounted as a single unit on a common shaft. The oil of
the transformer is designed such that it circulates
through the windings, thereby eliminating the cooling
fan, shaft seal and avoiding any danger associated with
oil leakage or the entry of air.
NBC Bearings is the premier brand of India’s leading bearings
manufacturer and exporter, National Engineering Industries
Ltd (NEI). Founded in 1946, NBC is a pioneer, renowned for
excellence in quality and delivery for over 60 years. An integral
part of the US$ 1.6Bn CK Birla Group, NBC produces over 100
million bearings each year in more than 1000 sizes to serve a
host of varied customers across India and 21 other countries in
5 continents.
A flexibility of approach and action, a commitment to
customer satisfaction and innovation, design and product
development has ensured that NBC is not just the fastest
growing bearings company in India. It is increasingly, a
preferred and collaborative technological partner for new
product development for specialized bearings and allied
engineering products.
AIR BRAKES
Air brakes on an individual car are activated or released
through changes in the brake pipe air pressure, which was
set at 88 psi for the occurrence train. The brake pipe is a
continuous pipe through the train that acts as a conduit for
air from the locomotive to supply and charge each car and
as a signal line to deliver pneumatic commands for brakes
to apply and release.
The brakes can be applied in a
“service” application or in an
“emergency” application
