Engineering and Technology, Panjab University (formerly

known as Department of Chemical Engineering and Technology) is
a Department of Panjab University, Chandigarh. DCET/SSBUICET
is one of the first departments of Panjab University, and one of the
earliest schools of engineering in India. SSBUICET infrastructure
and curriculum was developed in collaboration with Illinois
Institute of Technology.

BE (chemical) with MBA in 2008 on the eve of 50th anniversary
of PU and 6th batch of this course is ready to cater the customized
need of the industry.
 The students of this course were selected on purely merit basis
(among the top 3% in india, based on the jee (Mains) ranking) and
started with their MBA education simultaneousaly with their
engineering. The last one year is devoted purely to management and
specialization.

 TRAINING: Two trainigs at the end of 6th and 8th sem

respectively.

 PROJECT : Two projects each of 1 year duration in 4th (Technical)

and 5th year (Managerial) respectively.

overall goal of engineering education is to prepare students to
practice engineering and in particular to deal with the nature of
problems faced by the society.

 The laboratory practice has been an important part of professional

and engineering undergraduate education; the laboratory is an ideal
place for active learning. Students learn in a real world environment,
function as team members, discuss the planning of experiments, and
share ideas about the analysis and interpretation of data.
