Computer Using Educators
The Computer Using Educators is a nonprofit organization founded in 1978. CUE' s goal is to inspire all
students from preschool to higher education, in all disciplines of life. With an active membership with
thousands of educators, CUE supports many regional and national affiliates. CUE is the largest non-
profit organization of its kind in the west and United States. Some of the affiliates are ISTE, INACOL,
and SETDA.

"The first CUE Platform was developed in 1985 to help define the intent and purpose of California
legislation that would establish programs and related funding for statewide, regional, and local
educational technology programs and projects. Since that time the Platform has been used to inform
educators and policymakers in their development of state and federal legislation, state educational
technology plans, initiatives, and programs".

CUEs' advocacy platform is equity, professional learning, infusing technology, policy, and
infrastructure.CUE advocates for online learning, fully funded professional development, continuous
funding for technical support, research-based technology applications and services, digital content, and
administrative use of technology.
Technology
Makerspaces are defined as a place in which people with shared interests,
especially in computing or technology, can gather to work on projects while
sharing ideas, equipment, and knowledge.

The students can evaluate their idea with other students or educator while
sharing knowledge with one another. The more interaction and understanding
the student has, the more likely they will understand what they are attempting to
learn and retain.

Wearable technology would be a great advantage financially and socially for

learners. There are many students that have not been outside of their town
because they cannot financially afford to go anywhere.Sometimes class trips are
good but when some students cannot go, it does not benefit the entire class.
