WATERCOLOR

TEMPERA

PASTEL

It is a stick of dried paste made of pigments ground with chalk and


compounded with gum water. Pastel sticks or crayons of pure
powdered pigment combined with an inert binder.

Oil

is also a kind of patchwork.
ENCAUSTIC

It is also known as hot wax painting. Involves the


use of heated beeswax to which colored pigments
are added. The liquid or paste is then applied to
a surface.
MIXED MEDIA

The use of more than one medium. The choice of


layers should be carefully made.
