An IP address, short for Internet Protocol address, is an identifying number for a

piece of network hardware having an IP address allows a device to communicate

with other devices over an IP-based network like the internet.
DNS, which stands for Domain Name System, is used as the medium to translate

domain names to their respective IP addresses when a client initiates a request

query.

DNS stores the database of all the domain names and their IP addresses which are

registered on the network.

DNS is an Internet service that translates domain names/hostnames to IP addresses

(forward DNS) and IP addresses to their associated domain names/hostnames

(Reverse DNS) with the help of a DNS server.
An IP address is an address assigned to any computer (including servers) to

identify it on a given network.

A DNS address is a Domain Name Service which is used to convert alphabetic

references into a server's IP address generally for hosting services.

When you type the website name in your browser, the browser sends a request to

the DNS server, if the website domain name is registered in the database with the
DNS, then it’ll reply you with the IP address of the website you are trying to access,
which is something like 117.234.214.14
When we surf the internet, we are accessing a network that is connected to the

internet itself or one that gives us access to the internet.

Perhaps that’s connecting to the internet service provider (ISP)we have at home or

using a company network in the office.

To do this successfully, computer uses internet protocol, and IP address is used as a

virtual return address to establish a connection.

Computer use DNS to look up domain names and get associated IP address which

is used to connect computer to the destination on the internet.

DNS servers are connected in a distributed hierarchy and are divided into zones

splitting up responsibility for the major domain such as .org,.com,.net etc.

IP address- There are private IP addresses, public IP addresses, static IP addresses, and
dynamic IP addresses.
private IP addresses are used "inside" a network, like the one you probably run at
home.
Public IP addresses are used on the "outside" of your network and are assigned by your
ISP. It's the main address that your home or business network uses to communicate with
the rest of the networked devices around the world (i.e. the internet).
An IP address that is assigned by a DHCP server is a dynamic IP address.
If a device does not have DHCP enabled or does not support it then the IP address must
be assigned manually, in which case the IP address is called a static IP address.
DNS- The DNS server temporarily stores the request queries in the form of Cache, so as
to reduce the response time if any other DNS resolver requests the same query.
The time for which the Cache information remains valid, called TTL (Time To Live), is set
by the administrator for each query record stored in the cache.
In our opinion, this video can be improved by elaborating on the explanation of IP
address and DNS and how they interact with each other as in this video the
explanation is in general.
