Islam was brought to Malaysia by indian muslim
traders.
In 13th century, the Terengganu stone
monument was found at Kuala Berang,
Terengganu. 
Islam is derived from arabic root “salima”, peace,
purity, submission and obedient.
Islam means submission to the will of God and
obedience to His law.
It also means submission to the One God and to
live in peace with the Creator within one’s self
with other people and with the environment.

Important practice in Christianity
1. Baptism is a ceremony to celebrate the entry of a person
in Christianity.

2. Eucharist or holy gathering or dinner last night also is a
dinner of bread and wine as a sign of unity between
Christians and followers of jesus

*which both took place in the church.

*Christian holy day is Christmas, Easter and good friday.


Christians are encouraged to gather in church to worship
and live an upright life according to moral laws of God.
Sikh religion

 Minority religious groups in Malaysia
 practiced mostly ethnic Indian Punjabi descent in this
country.
 sikh devotees identified by identifying the wearing of turban
and long beard, especially men.
 for men, using the last name Singh means lion while women
use Kaur, meaning princess

 was founded by Guru Nanak in 1469M. then continued
and developed by nine other teachers.

 Sikhs believe in one god religions.

 Sikh holy book known as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji

 Guru Ka Langgar is a kind of food such as vegetables
cooked by the gurdwara sikh available to visitors

(charity), to the people regardless of religion.
Celebration/Festival

 Vaisakhi is the most important celebration
 celebrated in April every year
 on that day, they will visit the gurdwara with family
and relatives. they go to Darbar Sahib (prayer hall) place
of the scriptures.
 religious activities that take place during the celebration
of Vaisakhi is Sanskar amrit (baptism).
 This ceremony marks the willingness of sikh devotees
apply amrit (holy water) to get closer to Waheguru.

-not allowed to cut or shave any hair on any part of the
body
-not to eat meat unless deducted Jhatka, beheaded
-not to drink alcohol, smoke tobacco or drugs
-not only can have sex with their partners.
