 Metering
General Requirement
Documentation
- All submission to Single Buyer Unit.
- Schematics must be approved by Professional Engineer.

Metering Location
- Will be connected within TNB Interconnection Facility.

Meter Reading
- A half an hourly meter reading will be provided by SPP to TNB every month.

Metering Kiosk
- Metering Kiosk will be provided by SPP.
- Design – As shown in ESAH 3

General Requirement

Metering Room
- Minimum size of Metering Room is 2m x 2m x 2.5m
- 2 Key System will be applied for TNB & SPP to enter metering room.

Supply 240v
- 3 pin plug point single phase 240v in Metering Room.

Meter Communication
- GPRS Signal Strength > -77dB by using GNet Tract Apps.

Current Transformer (CT)
- CT will be provided by SPP and to be installed by contractor. Grid Division representative will
supervise the installation. CT termination to be done by Metering Team.

- Specification
Class : 0.2
Burden : 30 VA
Unit : One for each phase in each of the main and back up system for each
circuit
Standards : IEC 61869 -2
Note : CT Double Ratio not allowable to be installed.

Inductive Voltage Transformer (VT)
- IVT will be provided by SPP and to be installed by contractor. Grid Division representative will
supervise the installation. IVT termination to be done by Metering Team.

- Specification
Class : 0.2
Burden : 50 VA minimum
: 100VA if burden of shared load more than 10VA.
Unit : One for each phase in each of the main and back up
system for each circuit.
Connection : Star-star with neutral earthed on primary and secondary side.
Standards : IEC 61869 -3

Armoured Cable
- Conductor PVC / SWA / PVC 12 core Copper 2.5 mm² or 4.0 mm² to be used & laid by
contractor.
- The maximum allowable distance between the metering CTs and the metering cubicle as
shown below.
