How are primary elections and
general elections different?
Primaries-usually held in the spring.
Nominees who want to become their
party’s candidate for a office is voted
on by people of the same party. This is
when the voter has to declare what
party they want to vote for
General-a voter does not have to
declare their party and can vote for
whichever candidate they choose.
