 Associates Degree in an Accredited Dental Hygiene Program
 Completion of the National Hygiene Board Examination
 Proficient Abilities

 Problem Sensitivity ; ability to indicate an upcoming problem
 Finger Dexterity ; ability to make precisely coordinated
movements
Responsibilities

 Tasks include :
 Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
 Apply sealants and fluorides to help protect teeth
 Record and review patient medical histories
 Take and develop X-rays
