Course Title: Care of Mother and Child At-Risk or with Problems ( Acute and Chronic)
Course Code: NCM 109
Course Description: This course deals with the concept of disturbances and pre-existing
health problems of pregnant women and the pathologic changes
during intrapartum and post-partum periods. This course further
deals with the common problem occurring during infancy to
adolescent stage.
Course Credit: Theory: 6 units (108 hours); RLE: 6 units (306)
Placement: Second Year, Second Semester
Pre-requisites: NCM 107 - Care Of Mother, Child, Adolescent (Well Clients)

Level Outcome
At the end of the Second Year, given a normal and high risk mother,
child, and family in any health setting, the students demonstrate safe,
appropriate and holistic care utilizing the nursing process.
