If you look at the shape of the coastlines of
continents, you can see that they would easily
have fit together in the past.
Example: The outward curve of the African
coast matches the inward curve of the South
American coast.

Fossils of extremely similar plants and

animals have been discovered on
opposite side of the Atlantic Ocean. The
level of similarity between these fossils
suggests that the organisms must once
have lived in close proximity to one
another.
