Introduction

 Solid waste management is a term that is used to refer to the process of

collecting and treating solid wastes.

 Waste management is all about how solid waste can be changed and used as a
valuable resource and how to reduce the creation of solid waste.
Scope of Study

 We are required to conduct a survey on waste management and resource

recovery strategy for Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) area
specificly in Faculty of Technology, Management and Business (FPTP).
Objectives

 To study the waste management and resource recovery strategy for University
Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM).

 To analyse the data obtain from the Faculty of Technology Management and
Business.

Discussion

 From the data, we conclude that the hard waste materials are came from
can, bottles, plastic, food waste and the most produce hard waste materials
which is papers.
 Most of the staff doing the recycling because to earn money and help
environment. They could get RM30 in two weeks from 7kg of waste materials
(RM4.20/kg)
 Half of the respondents rarely separate the waste
 No recycle bin available at FPTP area.
