Objective: To identify the different kinds of
landforms in Earth to understand their
structure and why they change.

Learning objective: To explain how the


major landforms develop in the Earth by
describing them and comparing their
structures.
Biblical Principle: God is the creator of the
Earth and its forms.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the
earth.

The students will know that even though now there


are buildings, communities, societies, etc; the
creator of all earth and landforms specifically is
God.

• If the students take the motivation to misbehave he/she will
from 1 to ten points of his/her participation mark.
• If the students distract others he/she has to talk in front of the
class and apologize.
• If the students frequently have a bad behavior will be notified
in the folder of behavior.
SPEAKING PROJECT
Landforms
Due date: October 3rd, 2018
The students will work on this project in class.
Children will work in class. They must bring clay, cardboard
and markers to create one of landforms of an English-
speaking country they select.
Students will explain the components of these landforms.
GROUP: PAIRS
VOCABULARY
• Landform: It’s a natural feature of
the earth's surface.
• Mountain: It’s an area that is higher
than the land around it.
• Topography: It’s the arrangement of
the natural and artificial physical
features of an area.
MOUNTAINS AND HILLS
A mountain is an area that is higher than the land
around it.
Hills look like mountains, but they are smaller.
Blocks of Earth´s crust can get pushed upward to form.
VALLEYS AND CANYONS
A valley is an area with higher kand around it. They
stretch between mountains and hills.
A canyon is a valley with steep walls.
PLAINS AND PLATEAUS
A plain is a flat landform.
A plateau is also a flat are, but is higher than the land
around it. Its edges can form steep cliffs.
DELTAS AND DUNES
Deltas form at the end of a river. When a river enters
a lake or ocean, it slows down. Then, the water drops
most of the rock and soil where it meets the lake or
ocean, forming delta.
Dunes form in in dry areas. They form
where wind carries sand.
ISLANDS
Every island is a body of land sorrounded by
water. Some were once linked to a mainland and
other islands are the top of volcanoes.
