Welcome 1 st graders!
My name is Ms. Agurcia,
I will be your 1st grade
teacher for the year!
I am very excited for
the year to come but
I would like to go over a
few class rules and
procedures!
Materials Needed
Every day you should bring the
follwing to class:

1. Wide spaced lined paper


2. Number 2 pencil and eraser
3. 3 ring binder
4. Colored pencils/crayons/markers
5. Backpack
6. A SMILE!! 
A few class room rules …

• There will be absolutely NO bullying in


this class!
• Treat everyone as you wish to be
treated
• Please no throwing things
• No pushing, shoving, hitting, etc
• Wait your turn
• Ask permission before getting out of
seat
• Only 2 bathroom passes a day
• Eyes on teacher while she is speaking
• Everyone should work together
Daily Procedures
Morning
Students will :
1. Quietly line up by the door
2. Place backpack on rack
3. Take out Daily Binder and
pencil
4. Copy board work
5. Complete morning
assignment
6. Turn work over when done

Morning (cont.)
Students will :
7.Go over answers while volunteering to go
up to board to answer
8.Correct your work with red
pen/crayon/marker etc.
9.Place name on top corner
10.Turn in assignment
11. Head over to circle for calendar time
12. Take turns talking about the weekend/day
before
13.Discuss calendar
14. Back to seats for discussion/ lessons
Daily Procedures
Afternoon
Students will :
1. Lunch/recess 1.hr
2. Return from recess, lined up quietly
at the door
3. Sit in seats with classwork book out
4. Silently work on page listed on board.
5. Turn in when done, place head down
on desk.
6. Line up for Special of the day 1hr long
7. Reading time
8. Group time
9. Write down assigned homework
What we will learn
this year
We will cover numerous things this year! Such as
Reading simple words and phrases with rhyming
We will learn some writing as well by writing stories
and writing in your writing Journal I will provide you
with. We will go over Adding and Subtracting simple
numbers while using cubes, blocks and patterns.
Also some science based on the natural world which
will have tons of fun labs and experimenting!
And most importantly First Grade Social Studies!
This will be where the students learn about
themselves and the world they live in.
