As from the literature, the use of class 'F' fly ash were in study of research scholar. Now adays the uses of ignite and subbituminous coal is increased, which provide the availibility of class 'C' fly ash. However, few of the research scholars are working on class 'C' fly ash. Results and Discussion:- The variables whiche effects the strength of geopolymer include modulus and content of the mixed alkali activator and the sample curing conditions. Modulus:-the molar ratio of SiO2/Na2O in the mixed alkali activator. High strength were obtain when the alkali activator content is 10% and modulus is 1.5, a strength oof 63.4MPa is obtained. • Conclusion:- Using the ratio of SiO2/Na2O 1.5 and 10% of mixed alkali activator a geopolymer of strength of 63.4MPa were obtain. • Geopolymer synthesis using alkaline activation of natural zeolite. • journal:- Construction and Building Materials. • The results demonstrated that an increase in the activator
ratio as well as that of curing time favors mechanical strength in the material. • Nevertheless, with 90 day of curing time and 80⁰C or a greater curing temperature, have a negative effect on strength. • It is estimated that producing cement by means of geopolymerization could result in an 86% decrease inCO2 emissio for each ton of PC. Results and Discussion:- Al2O3,SiO2,and Fe2O3 content in the zeolite is approximately 71.3%. • The material synthesized at a curing temperature of 40⁰C exhibited the highest compressive strength, even higher than those presented by Portland cement. • Conclusion:- Geopolymer obtain from natuual zeolite have same compressive strength as of ordinary portland cement.
The dependence shown between compressive strength and
temperature indicates that the raw material needs thermal activation in order to obtain a geopolymer with good compressive strength properties
