m The Human Resources (HR) Audit is a process of

examining policies, procedures, documentation,


systems, and practices with respect to an
organization¶s HR functions6
m Reward means giving something for performance
and motivate employees on individual and/or group
levels. They are normally considered separate from
salary but may be monetary in nature.
m Recognition programs are generally not monetary in
nature though they may have a cost to
the company. Recognition draw
a psychological benefit.
The following methods can be used to audit this system:

1 Interviews Interview functional heads, line managers, and HR


manager, & ascertain their level of clarity. Compare
the objectives they state with those exist on paper.
2 Questionnaire Relevant items on HRD audit questionnaire

3 Secondary data Look for records of past rewards, recognition &


promotions and process.

4 Documents Check manuals, guidelines, policy statements, training


and reports materials, etc.

m Comprehensiveness/ coverage of efforts for each
of the schemes including promotions
