problems, uncertainties, questions, or
dilemmas.

2- Analyzing errors

 Writing reflective journals enables the students to


analyze errors that have been made.
 Analyzing errors means they have to question
themselves how the errors occurred.
 Thus, it can help students to develop questioning
attitude towards different issues and problems.

underlying beliefs

 Process of collecting, recording, and analysing our


thoughts and observations
 lead to changes and improvements in our teaching

 Writing weekly reports requires me to evaluate the


effectiveness of my lessons
 Pupils' inability to achieve learning objectives would
prompt me to come up with ideas for remedial
lessons
 Repetition leads to more practice, which in turn
develops my higher order thinking skills

 To evaluate our own learning


 Can be used to evaluate our own performance
 To help ourselves to perform better next time.
 Those who participate in self-evaluations are
motivated, have a positive outlook and develop
cognitive skills.
