MECHANICS

• The class will be divided into three groups: the

blue group, green group and red group.
• You are going to write the answers in the
illustration board that I will give you. Every
wrong answer will show the body part of the
hangman. You must not hang the man, if you
do, you lose the game.

A strategy defense which substances
are gradually build up inside the
herbivore as it eats and that prevent
digestion of food.
Defense mechanisms are reduced
when enemies are absent and increase
when plants are attacked.
A strategy defense that are highly
toxic substances, very small doses
of which can kill herbivores.
It is the most potent poison that is
being produce by the deadly
nightshade.
These are long-live and always
apparent to the herbivores.
These are weeds, which are
ephemeral and unavailable to
herbivores for a long periods.
It include compounds with
chemical properties that directly
deter herbivores from feeding on a
plant.
Plant thorns and spines deter
vertebrate herbivores.
The synchronous production of
progeny, seeds, in some years satiates
herbivores, permitting some seed to
survive.
It is a form of predation in which the
prey organism is plant. It is also the
consumption of plant tissues by
animals.
Some plants contain insect hormones
derivatives that, if digested, prevent
successful metamorphosis of insect
juveniles into adults.
It is not part of the primary metabolic
pathways of plants, and are thought to be
synthesised specifically as a deterent to
herbivores.
Animals who survive on plants, fruits,
leaves, and other natural food sources.
These animals cannot digest meat because
they have broad, flat teeth.
Some plants may stop herbivory
by failing to attract herbivores.
