Definition
• A task organization formed from the MAGTF
and NSE and is introduced into the objective
area prior to the main body of the FIE.
• Tasks
– Initial reconnaissance
– Liaison with in-theater authorities
– Initiates preparations for arrival of main body and
the MPSRON

• 1 – Determine suitability of the port,


beach, airfield(s), road and rail networks
to support the arrival of the MPF

Communications
• Concept

– OH 1-5-1 lists equipment.(Not limited to this list)
– Approval for addt’l equipment made by MEF G-6

Transportation
• Marshaling will begin at direction of
SLRP OIC at the CE’s marshaling area
• Parent commands are responsible for
the movement of their personnel to this
area
• Further embark preparations are the
responsibility of deploying MAGTF
command element

• Average 7 or 8 HMMWVs embarked
• Lack of electrical support may necessitate
embarkation of generator and associated
equipment

• SLRP requires 2 C-141 loads


• (CNA no current study on force airlift requirements)

• Definition – services rendered by a
