ACCREDITATION
• Educational accreditation is a type of quality
assurance process under which services and
operations of educational institutions or
programs are evaluated by an external body to
determine if applicable standards are met. If
standards are met,accredited status is granted
by the appropriate agency.
DEFINITION:
“Accreditation is the process whereby an
organization or agency recognizes a college of
university of programme of study as having met
certain predetermined qualifications of standards”

• National Institutional Ranking Framework


(NIRF) is a methodology adopted by the
Ministry of Human Resource development
(MHRD), Government of India, to rank all
institutions of higher education in India.
COMMITTEES:
• Category- A: These are the institutions of
national importance, state universities,
private universities and other autonomous
institutions.
• Category- B: These are the institution
affiliated and do not enjoy full academic
autonomy.

INC:
• The Indian Nursing Council is a national
regulatory body for nurses and nurse
education in India formed by the Central
Government under section 3(1) of the
Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 of the
Indian parliament.

FUNCTIONS OF INC:
• To establish and monitor a uniform

NCHRH:
• National Council for Human Resource in
Health (NCHRH).
• The National Commission for Human Resources
for Health Bill, 2011 was introduced in the Rajya
Sabha on December 22, 2011 by the Minister of
Health and Family Welfare.
• The Bill seeks to establish a mechanism to
determine and regulate the standard of
health education in the country. It shall
repeal the Indian Nursing Council Act,
1947; the Pharmacy Act, 1948; the Dentists
Act, 1948 and the Indian Medical Council
Act, 1956 on such date as decided by the
central government.

individual.
